Magic Octopus is now accepting Poetry and Fiction submissions for it’s first issue, Glitter!

We’re an arts, life, and writing magazine, featuring the following sections: 

Arts/Subjectivity/Fashion, Industry/Sustainability/DIY, Thought, Science, Food/Health, Sex/Love/Relationships, and Interviews!

Magic Octopus: A magazine for intergalactic warrior mystics who love to step outside of the expected, embrace dualities of light and dark, cynicism and optimism. A playground for those who practice courageous curiosity, magical creativity, and hunger for knowledge. A travelogue of the fabulous, who insist on a passionate existence, who act, question, and crave new ways of living in a beautiful world. We feature people, organizations, and businesses that persist, invent and inspire. We are a voice for the glittering revolutionaries of this wondrous age. 

We’re looking for pieces of quality writing that flirt with the intellect and rebel against convention. For Poetry, please submit up to 5 poems, and for Fiction, please submit up to 3 pieces for consideration.

We’re an arts, life, and writing magazine creating our first issue and we want YOUR images for use in it and issues to come, for our cover, logo, and sections.

We’d like to see images that represent Art Nouveau aesthetic for our technological age!

The art style we’re looking for is well represented by the photo below.

This style is suggested, but not required! We love our Baltimore artist friends, and would love to see your unique interpretations of our theme! 

We plan to select at least a few different Octopus designs, and they will be proudly featured in our first issue, and possibly in issues to come. The design will be a sidekick to some of the best thinkers, doers, movers and shakers in Baltimore and the US!
